One of the wonderful by-product of having goats is their droppings. Every couple of months
we drag the floor of the barn to clean out the droppings and hay and let it mellow out for a
couple of weeks before we use it on anything to prevent it from burning the plants. We have
been using it on our plant beds and my mother and a gardening friend of hers have been
using it on their plants for the last year or so and the plants have thrived. I can't guarantee
there won't be some "weeds" that sprout from it as the Haygrazer we have does have seed
heads and the other vegetation they eat may have seeds that don't get fully digested.
If you are interested in partaking of some, please contact me
to see what is available. Bring your own containers or I have
paper feed bags available for filling. $2.00 per bag or 5 gallon
bucket (you scoop and fill) or if you want a pick up bed load
(if we have that much available) for $25.00. If you would like
to reserve a truck load full, please give us advance notice and
we can let you know when we plan on dragging the barn.
